Boston Celtics vs Indiana Pacers Betting Analysis
The Indiana Pacers visit the TD Garden in Boston for an Eastern Conference tilt with the Celtics on Wednesday night. The Celtics are coming off back-to-back home losses to the Orlando Magic after losing 95-92 on Sunday.
The Pacers lost 109-106 at home against the New York Knicks. This is the first of three games in a regular season series that Boston won 3-1 in the 2021-22 campaign. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM EST/4:30 PST
Tatum Back In Action For Celtics
The Boston Celtics record dipped to 22-9 on the season after back-to-back losses at home to the Orlando Magic. They played the second game without Jayson Tatum due to personal reasons and he looks set to return tonight.
The MVP candidate is averaging 30.2 points, 8.2 rebounds in 37 minutes a game this season. Jaylen Brown led the C’s in scoring with 24 points to go along with 14 rebounds. Marcus Smart added 15 points, 7 assists and 7 rebounds.
Boston ranks #1 in scoring with 118.2 points per game on 48.1% from the floor. Their defense hasn’t lived up to last seasons expectations as they sit at 13th in scoring with 112.2 points allowed per game.
Robert Williams III has returned to the Celtics rotation as he works himself back into shape after knee surgery. Marcus Smart is listed as questionable with a non-covid related illness.
Streaky Pacers
The Indiana Pacers dropped their 10th game in their last 15 tries after losing at home to the New York Knicks on Sunday. This comes on the heels of them winning 9 of their prior 11 games.
They currently sit at 15-16 in third place in the Central Division. Buddy Hield and Aaron Nesmith both scored 23 points to lead the team, Nesmith added 10 rebounds.
Tyrese Haliburton also recorded a 15 point, 10 assist double-double. The Pacers defense ranks 21st in scoring with 115.6 points allowed per game. They sit at 13th in scoring with 114.6 points per game on 114.6 points per game.
Star point guard Tyrese Haliburton leads the team with 19.5 points and 10.7 assists per game. Indiana sports a clean injury report, a breath of fresh air nowadays.
Boston Celtics vs Indiana Pacers Player Prop Prediction
The Boston Celtics are heavily favored at home with a 10 point spread and total of 233. Both sides look to get back on track after rough patches in their regular season schedules.
Jayson Tatum will be itching to get back on the court and Marcus Smart is questionable. The Pacers give up plenty of points and rank 21st in power foward defense. Indiana also ranks 29th in free throws allowed and 21st in three-pointers allowed, both area’s where Tatum feasts.
Tatum has a point total of 28.5 and he eclipsed that in two of four head-to-head meetings with Indiana, while landing on 24 in both games he fell short. With Smart looking unlikely to play Tatum seems perfectly set up for a get right game tonight.
