Bucks vs Hornets Prop Bets, Odds and Prediction Feb 28

Giannis Antetokounmpo attempts to pass NBA Cup props today

Bucks vs Hornets Betting Preview

Not too many Eastern Conference teams have enjoyed success against the Milwaukee Bucks in recent years, but the Charlotte Hornets have been a thorn in the side of the defending champs. Will that trend continue on Monday night? Milwaukee has opened as a 10.5-point home favorite over the visiting Hornets with the total sitting at 238.5 points.

Bucks vs Hornets Analysis

The Charlotte Hornets play the second game of a back-to-back in Milwaukee against the Bucks on NBA TV’s featured game. The Bucks sit at 36-25 after losing 126-123 at home against the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday. The 30-32 Hornets let one slip away with a 127-126 overtime loss against the Detroit Pistons yesterday.

This will be the fourth and final regular season showdown between these squads. Milwaukee won the first game at home 127-125 and Charlotte later took consecutive home games 114-106 and 103-99.

Hornets Have Bucks Number?

The Charlotte Hornets have played well in all three games against the Bucks this season, they have won two of three while losing the third game by only two points. They may have been looking ahead as they dropped yesterday’s game to the Detroit Pistons in overtime. Terry Rozier led the Hornets with 33 points while Miles Bridges a 29 point 10 rebound double double.

With just two wins in their last 10 games, Charlotte is clinging to one of the play-in spots in the Eastern Conference. The Hornets will be playing without Gordon Hayward, Nick Richards and Jalen McDaniels. Charlotte has been spectacular offensively, ranking first with over 114 points scored. The problem is they also allow over 114 points a game which ranks 28th.

Milwaukee Hopes To Buck Losing Ways

The Milwaukee Bucks loss to the undermanned Brooklyn Nets was their second straight and fourth in their last five games. The 126-123 loss to Brooklyn was the third time in four games that have allowed 120 points or more. Bobby Portis put up 30 points and 12 rebounds, while Giannis Antetokounmpo had 29 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists.

Pat Connaughton is still out indefinitely, while George Hill is questionable for this contest. The Bucks rank 5th in scoring with 113.3 points a game and 16th in defense with over 110 points allowed to their rivals.

Bucks vs Hornets Prediction

The Milwaukee Bucks are heavy favorites with a spread of 10.5 and a huge total of 240.5. Charlotte has played well against the Bucks this season, but the Bucks are well aware of that.

Both teams have been in poor recent form but Milwaukee has only played once since the break, while the Hornets lost in overtime yesterday. The Hornets have been dreadful in back-to-back situations this season, going 1-10 straight up and 3-7-1 against the spread. I think the Bucks look to make a statement here and win comfortably.

Official Play: Milwaukee Bucks -10.5

Bucks vs Hornets Prop Bets

From GoldSheet: With how bad the Hornets are against centers, we see no reason to overlook Bobby Portis’ points at 17.5 and three pointers made at 2.5 as he put up 30 points and eight threes against the Nets on Saturday.

On the Hornets’ end, lets look at Terry Rozier’s 20.5 point total at DraftKings as he’s hit that in five of his past six games and in the most recent two games against the Bucks, Rozier scored 28 and 27 points.
