College Basketball Props Prediction 1: Zach Edey, Purdue UNDER 23.5 Points (-110) DK

Purdue Boilermakers center Zach Edey is averaging 23.1 points per game on 62.4% shooting from the field through his first 14 games of the season.

However, Edey has failed to score 24+ points in each of his last four games and 8 of those 14 games on the season.

In those four games, his field goal attempts have dipped with only 13, 7, 8 and 15 after approaching 20 in prior games.

His free throw attempts are down as well with only 8, 5, 8 and 9 in his last four games. Purdue is also favored by 10.5 points in this contest so his minutes could diminish even further. Regardless, Edey point totals are trending towards another under tonight against Illinois.

College Basketball Props Prediction 2: Tristen Newton UConn UNDER 6.5 Rebounds (+105) DK

University of Connecticut guard Tristen Newton is averaging 6.8 rebounds per game through his first 14 games of the season.

However, Newton has now fallen short of seven rebounds in 6 of his last 7 games including recording only five in his last game.

What’s truly alarming is Newton has fallen short of this rebounding total in all four of his road games with only 6, 3, 4 and 6 boards.

Newton also only recorded four rebounds in his last game against Butler last season. UConn center Donovan Clingan is currently out with a foot injury which leaves an average of six rebounds per game on the table.

However, it’s hard to know if any of those land in Newton’s hands and he’s recorded 9 and 5 rebounds in the two games since the Clingan injury. Let’s take the plus money on another under rebounds under for Newton on the road against Butler tonight.
