Denver Nuggets vs Phoenix Suns Analysis
The Suns play their third road game in a row, and it’s a tough back to back situation for them as they had a tough game last night against Minnesota and have to travel to Denver who is rested and playing at home for the third game in a row.
The books have decided this is going to be a brutal game for Phoenix as they have Denver as a -4 favorite with a total hovering around 232. Let’s find the best bet in this one and make it a profitable Thursday.
Suns Cruising
The Suns have done a fantastic job adapting to life without CP3 as they’re on a 10-2 straight up win streak, but they are only 6-4 ATS in their last 10.
They have been a scoring machine as their games have gone over in four out of five games, and there is another stat involving them that I’ll save for my official pick.
Booker has shown a nice combination of maturity and explosiveness running the offense with Paul’s absence, and Ayton and Bridges along with contributions from Cameron Payne have made this team lethal on offense.
The other piece is they are the second best defensive rated team the last 30 days so this is the ultimate clicking on all cylinders team.
Nuggets Get Needed Win
The Nuggets needed to get a win against the Clippers to maintain their seeding, and they did just that, but it’s still just their third win in their last seven games.
Jokic has now lead them in point, rebounds and assists in 10 straight games, and that could spell trouble against the Suns who can attack from almost anywhere, and who also plays great team defense.
Nothing consistent sticks out with this team with ATS streaks or Over/Unders, and it’s once again all about Jokic tonight and if he can keep it close.
Their biggest advantage they have is the back to back for Phoenix, but can they take advantage?
Denver Nuggets vs Phoenix Suns Prediction
The Suns have won the second leg of their back to back in six out of their last seven games, so the lack of rest hasn’t been an issue for them.
They are also 8-2 over their team total in their last 10 games and 5-0 their last five so they’ve been scoring a ton, and I don’t see Denver slowing them down.
I expect Phoenix to win as I’m not a fan of a one man show Denver team, but I’ll just take Phoenix and the points and feel good about it.
Prediction: Phoenix Suns +4
