Expert Player Props for Wednesday: Luka Doncic, Lakers Over 16.5 Rebounds + Assists (-114)

This is the ultimate revenge game as Luka Doncic goes back to Dallas for the first time since he was traded and it’s a meaningful game with both teams fighting for postseason positioning.

Doncic already played the Mavericks in a home game in late February where he logged 15 rebounds and 12 assists (27 RA) across 35 minutes of play.

Dallas consistently blitzed and threw double teams at Doncic in that game which forced him to pass instead of shoot and I think we see a similar effort tonight.

The Mavericks rank 18th in assists allowed (9.1/game) and 25th in rebounds allowed (6.4/game) to opposing point guards this season. We have a spread of 3.5 so we should see a close game where Doncic plays his season average of 35+ minutes which gives him time to stack these stat categories.

Doncic has recorded five triple doubles this season including his lone game against Dallas so that’s worth a sprinkle at +550 at MGM.

Expert Player Props for Wednesday: Domantas Sabonis, Kings Over 19.5 Rebounds + Assists (+100)

Domantas Sabonis has covered this number in 60% of his games this season when playing 30+ minutes. That includes two games against the Denver Nuggets where he logged 27 and 20 Rebounds + Assists across 41 and 39 minutes of play.

In those games, Sabonis recorded 19 and 14 rebounds on a staggering 32 and 25 rebound chances. A big part of that is this is a pace up spot for Sacramento (13th) as the Nuggets rank 7th in tempo and that’s reflected in the total being set at 234.5.

Sabonis has recorded 6+ assists in six straight head-to-head games against Nikola Jokic including 8 and 6 assist efforts this season which gives us strong expectations for that category.

Malik Monk remains out with a leg injury, so Sabonis has increased facilitating duties. Both these teams are fighting for playoff positioning and Denver just fired Mike Malone so we should see close game (-4 spread) where Sabonis see’s the 30+ minutes necessary to eclipse this line.
