Golden State Warriors vs Washington Wizards Betting Analysis

The Washington Wizards travel to the Bay Area for interconference clash with the Golden State Warriors on Monday night.

The Warriors look to snap a two game losing streak after losing 109-103 at home against the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday evening. The Wizards hope to extend a two game winning streak after outscoring the Indiana Pacers 127-113.

This is the second and final game in a regular season series Golden State leads 1-0 after winning 127-118 in Washington on January 16th. Tip-off is scheduled for 10:00 PM EST/7:00 PST from the Chase Center.

No Curry, No Dice

The Golden State Warriors slipped back to .500 at 28-28 on the season after losing their second straight game to the Lakers on Saturday.

Los Angeles owned the interior with a 52-43 rebounding edge while outscoring the Warriors 50-44 in the paint. Jordan Poole led all scorers with 29 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.

Draymond Green recorded a 12 point, 10 assist double-double along with 7 rebounds while Klay Thompson scored 15 points on a horrendous 5-21 shooting effort.

The Warriors currently occupy the 9th seed in the Western Conference, only a half game away from missing out on the play-in tournament altogether. They currently sit at 2nd in scoring with 118.2 points a game on 47.6% from the field.

Defense has been a different story as they rank 15th in defensive rating but 26th in defensive scoring with 118.1 points allowed per game. Andrew Wiggins is questionable for Mondays contest with sprained right ankle while Steph Curry, Andre Iguodala and Gary Payton II have all been ruled out.

Magical Duo Emerges For Wizards

The Washington Wizards improved to 26-29 on the season after winning their second straight game over the Pacers on Saturday. The Wizards shot a lights out 48-75 64% from the floor while Indiana went only 43-95 for 45.3%.

Bradley Beal was the games leading scorer with 32 points on an efficient 13-18 from the field. Kristaps Porzingis recorded a 17 point, 10 rebound double-double along with 5 assists while Monte Morris chipped in with 17 points and 6 rebounds.

Washington currently occupies the 9th seed in the Eastern Conference, only a half game away from missing the play-in tournament altogether. They sit below average in scoring at 19th with only 113.2 points a game on 48.2% shooting.

The Wizards rank similarly in defense at 16th in defensive rating and 14th in defensive scoring with 113.3 points allowed per game. Kyle Kuzma is the only player listed on the current injury report and he is listed as questionable with an ankle injury.

The Golden State Warriors are 4 point home favorites with a total set at 234. Both teams sit in eerily similar positions in the standings as both occupy the 9th seed in their respective conferences.

Draymond Green seems like he is adjusting to life without Steph Curry as he is coming off a 12 point, 10 rebound, 7 assist effort. I can’t count on his points, but those rebounds + assists seem to always be there.

Green has an RA line set at 14.5 and he has cleared that in 8 of his last 11 games while landing on 13, 14 & 14 in the three games he fell short. Draymond recorded 10 assists and 6 rebounds (16 RA) against Washington on January 16th.

The Warriors and Draymond are much more comfortable with some home cooking and Green see’s an uptick in RA production at the Oracle. Let’s back Green to get some green tonight!!
