Hawks vs Cavaliers Analysis
The Cleveland Cavaliers travel to Atlanta for an Eastern Conference clash with the Hawks. The Hawks return home for two games after winning three straight games, the last two being on the road.
The short-handed Cavs have been in a rough patch, losing 7 of their last 11 games. This is a make-up game from December, back when any game could get canceled at a moments notice.
The Hawks are 2-1 in three head-to-head matchups against the Cavs this season. Trae Young going head-to-head with Darius Garland, this should be a great game for prop bettors to examine.
Hawks vs Cavaliers Team Totals
The Atlanta Hawks are six point favorites with a total of 230, setting the Cavaliers team total at 111.5 and the Hawks at 118.5. These teams split the two games in Cleveland with the Cavs winning 101-95 and the Hawks winning 121-118.
The Hawks won 124-116 in their most recent game in Atlanta. The Cavs defense has taken a major step back without Jared Allen patrolling the paint.
They rank 3rd in points allowed on the season, but 14th over their last 10 games. Atlanta has been scoring at a torrid pace lately.
They have scored 120 points or more in 6 of their last 10 games, scoring 117 & 112 in two of the games they fell short.
No surprise, Trae Young has been the catalyst the their offense, averaging 30 points and 11 assists over his last ten games.
The Hawks have scored more than 120 points in two of three head-to-head games with Cleveland. This sets up beautifully for Atlanta to clear their team total of 118.5.
Team Total Prediction: Atlanta Hawks Over 118.5
Hawks vs Cavaliers Player Props
We already mentioned Trae Young playing like a man possessed, so that’s a great place to start. Young has had three impressive games against the Cavs.
He had a game with 24 points & 7 assists, 35 points & 11 assists and 41 points and 9 assists. I like him to go over 9.5 assists here, as the paint will be wide up for Clint Capela alley-oops.
I also considered and like Darius Garland to take the Cavs on his shoulders tonight. Garland only faced Atlanta once this season and put up 30 points and 8 assists.
There will be some extra points available without Evan Mobley. We will utilize Garland in the same game parlay. Lesser than players like Russell Westbrook, Cade Cunningham and Kyle Lowry all average less assists per game than Trae Young and had double digit assists recently.
Let’s ride with Young as a facilitator tonight.
Player Prop Prediction: Trae Young Over 9.5 Assists
Hawks vs Cavaliers Same Game Parlay
We will start with our favorite player prop of Trae Young assists, but lowered to 9+. Darius Garland points over is another play I really like in this one.
We can add 20+ to the parlay, he has scored 20 or more in 11 of his last 12 with 18 in the only game he fell short. I also love that Atlanta team total for the reasons stated above.
We can add 109+ Hawks points as the third leg for +100 odds. We have hit our last two SGP’s at +105 & +210 odds.
Same Game Parlay Props:
Trae Young 9+ Assists
Darius Garland 20+ Points
Atlanta Hawks Team Total 109+ Points
+100
