Hawks vs Heat Analysis

It’s been a defensive showcase by Miami so far in this series as they’ve frustrated Trae Young and the Hawks in the first two games, and the Hawks will need the home crowd and major adjustments to get back in this series. The books believe the Hawks will be competitive as the Heat are only -1.5 with a total of 221.

Heat Are Sizzling

The Heat have looked like the dominant team by far as their switches on defense has really taken Trae Young’s effectiveness away.

They also have gotten contributions from all over the place making it hard for Atlanta to key in on someone. Duncan Robinson had 28 points to lead the team, then the next game played 7 minutes with 0 points while Butler went off for 45.

We haven’t seen a big Adebayo game yet, but it’s coming as the Hawks remain without Capela. They’ve held the Hawks to 22-76 from three point range, and if those numbers continue the Heat will be looking at a 3-0 lead.

Hawks Not Soaring

The stat that has been floating around social media is that the Hawks are now 0-41 ATS when they lose, and they haven’t covered a game yet this season where they are an underdog. It’s only -1 point tonight, but it’s tough to go against trends like that.

It’s no secret they miss Capela, and they just don’t have the team defense to keep up. They’re going to have to get Trae going, and looking at last game Trae went for 25-6-7 and Bogdanovic went for 29 points and they still lost by 10.

Other guys need to stop up on offense, and then they need to buckle it up on defense to have a chance.

Hawks vs Heat Prediction

Miami has scored 115 in both games, and the team total is 110.5 for tonight, and I don’t see where the defense comes from for Atlanta that will be so different.

Atlanta has no interior presence without Capela and the perimeter of Atlanta can’t contain everyone. I think the offense will get a jolt from the home crowd, but I expect Miami to be able to score at will again tonight.

Prediction: Miami Heat Over 110.5 Team Total
