Lakers vs Nuggets Betting Analysis
The Denver Nuggets took a 2-0 edge over the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals and held on to homecourt advantage with a 108-103 victory on Thursday night.
This time the Nuggets were behind by 5 points at halftime after almost blowing an 18-point halftime lead in Game 1.
However, Denver marched back behind a scorching hot 4th quarter by Jamal Murray and prevailed in the end after letting the Lakers creep back into the game late.
Now the series shifts to Los Angeles where the Lakers find themselves in what amounts to a must win situation. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 PM EST/5:30 PST.
Lakers Face Must Win Situation
The Denver Nuggets earned themselves a 2-0 series advantage behind two Jokic triple doubles and getting an average of 34 points per game from Jamal Murray.
However, all of the talk is about how the Lakers “should have” or “could have” won both games. Murray posted a double-double with a game high 37 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists.
Jokic recorded yet another triple-double with 23 points, 17 rebounds and 12 assists. Denver improved on one of the best ATS records at home at 30-18-1.
They will need to clean things up on the road after losing the turnover battle 17-12. The Nuggets have one of the league’s most efficient offense’s, the most dynamic player in the league and a red-hot Jamal Murray.
That combined with a relatively low-pressure situation could create a real run and gun situation. Denver is 10-8 ATS as a road favorite and if they push the pace, this game could land into the 120’s despite the Lakers efficient defense.

Lakers vs Nuggets Player Prop Prediction
The Los Angeles Lakers enter Game 3 as 5.5-point home favorites with total set at 223.5. As mentioned earlier, Anthony Davis posted a team high 14 rebounds in Game 3.
However, he only scored 18 points while shooting a horrendous 4-15 (26.7%) from the field. When you look at both Davis and Lebron James, they both know when and when not to exert extra energy in what can be a grueling playoff run.
Davis has literally almost alternated between huge and pedestrian games by his standards throughout the post-season. Look at Game 1 where he scored 40 points on 14-23 shooting with 10 rebounds and 3 assists.
With their backs against the wall in Game 3, Davis and James will take on more of the scoring burden. The rebounds will always be there as Davis and Jokic battle in the paint.
Davis has a Points + Rebounds + Assists total set at 40.5 and that seems low based on the situation and past history. Give me the over on Anthony Davis’ PRA total on Saturday night in Game 3.
