Los Angeles Lakers vs Golden State Warriors Betting Analysis
The Los Angeles Lakers play host to the Golden State on Monday night for Game 4 after taking a 2-1 series advantage on Saturday night.
The Warriors fell apart in the second quarter due to a shooting slump as the Lakers doubled them up 36-18. The Lakers continued to dominate in the second half en route to a 127-97 victory.
Los Angeles found a way to bounce back in Game 3 and now it’s the Warriors turn to strike back in Game 4. If not their backs will be against the wall when they return home. Tip-off is scheduled for 10:00 PM EST/7:00 PST from Crypto.com Arena.
Lakers Look to Take Control
The Los Angeles Lakers will look to duplicate the effort from Game 3 and take a stranglehold on the series at 3-1.
Anthony Davis was absolutely dominant as the games leading scorer and rebounder with a 25 point, 13 rebound double-double, but his defensive effort is what gave the Warriors fits as he recorded four blocks and three steals.
LeBron James had a great all around game with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists while D’Angelo Russell also scored 21 points and added five assists. The Lakers shot well from beyond the arc, going 15-31 for 48%.
Everything is coming up Lakers, however there may be cause for concern as Los Angeles is 23-25-1 ATS after a loss on the season.
The Warriors have remained healthy throughout the majority of the season as Andre Iguodala and Ryan Rollins remain out, but neither have much of an impact on the Dubs success.
Champs Need To Strike Back
The Golden State Warriors find themselves down 2-1 for the second straight series, only this time they have to play on the road. The Warriors have one of the worst road marks on the season at 13-33.
Steph Curry led his team in scoring for Game 3 with 23 points on 9-21 from the field. Only three other Warriors scored into double figures and one of them was Johnathan Kuminga with 10 points off the bench.
After the first quarter, shots just weren’t falling for the Dubs as they shot 40% from the field and 30% from long distance. Defense was the Warriors main issue as they allowed Los Angeles to shoot 52% from the field and 48% from three-point land.
They also sent the Lakers to the free throw line a staggering 37 times. Anthony Davis was banged up in Game 3 after hitting the floor several times but he will obviously be on the court for Game 4. Mo Bamba is also questionable due to an ankle injury.
Los Angeles Lakers vs Golden State Warriors Prediction
The Los Angeles Lakers enter Game 4 as 3 point home favorites with a total of 227.5. This has been a back-and-forth series thus far and I expect more of the same tonight.
Steve Kerr did an amazing job making adjustments after Anthony Davis dominated in Game 1 and he will be determined to disrupt him in Game 4.
The Warriors have been an outstanding bounce back team recently at 4-0 ATS in their last four following an ATS loss and 6-1 ATS in their last seven games following a straight up loss.
On the year, Golden State is 22-20 ATS when coming off a loss with +2.9 average margin of victory. The Warriors might not win outright but I’ll bank on Curry and company to keep it close.
