Memphis Grizzlies vs Milwaukee Bucks Betting Analysis
The Milwaukee Bucks travels to the FedEx Forum for an interconference showdown with the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday evening. The Grizzlies are coming off a 128-103 blowout win at home against the Atlanta Hawks.
The Bucks picked up a 128-111 win over the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday. This is the first of two head-to-head meetings between these teams that will meet again on April 7th in Milwaukee. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 PM EST/5:00 PST on NBATV.
Next Man Up For Memphis
The Memphis Grizzlies are coming off one of their best games of the season as they ran roughshod over the Atlanta Hawks. They were without their superstar Ja Morant as well as starters Steven Adams & Desmond Bane.
It was next man up for Memphis, as point guard Tyus Jones stepped up with a 22 point 11 assist double-double. Dillon Brooks added 18 points while Jaren Jackson Jr chipped in with 15 point and 7 rebounds.
The Grizzlies rank 7th in the NBA in scoring with 115.5 points a game. Morant leads the team with 27.7 points and 6.6 assists per game. Defensively they rank slightly above average at 12th with 111.7 points allowed per game.
It looks like Morant and Adams will return to action after a full practice. Desmond Bane will miss another 3-4 weeks with a toe injury.
Bucks Beat Reigning NBA Champs
The Milwaukee Bucks improved to 20-7 after a dominant victory over the defending NBA champions the Golden State Warriors. Giannis Antetokounmpo led all scorers with a 30 point 12 rebound double-double after hitting 11 of 17 free throws.
Bobby Portis added a 25 point 11 rebound double-double off the bench while Khris Middleton chipped in with 20 points. Milwaukee ranks 16th in scoring with an average of 112.6 points a game. Giannis Antetokounmpo leads the way with an impressive 31.1 point, 11.3 rebound, 5.3 assist stat line.
Defense has been the Bucks calling card as they rank 2nd in scoring with only 107.6 points allowed per game. Jrue Holiday Holiday missed the Warriors game with a an illness and has already been ruled out for this contest.
Memphis Grizzlies vs Milwaukee Bucks Player Prop Prediction
The Memphis Grizzlies are 2.5 point favorites with a total of 227. This is potential Finals matchup between two hot teams as Milwaukee has won 8 of their last 10 games while Memphis has won six straight.
Ja Morant should thrive tonight as Jrue Holiday won’t be pestering him defensively. However he may need to find points outside of the paint as it’s clogged up with the big bodies of Antetokounmpo, Lopez, Portis, Adams and Jackson Jr.
Morant has a three-point line set at 1.5, he went 0-7 last game against Atlanta but cleared this total in the four games prior.
Morant has averaged 1.8 makes on 5.0 tries on the season and his attempts are up to 6.3 per game in December. I’m expecting him to hoist more shots from the perimeter tonight and get back on track from long range.
