Milwaukee Bucks vs Golden State Warriors Betting Analysis

The Golden State Warriors visit Fiserv Forum for an inter conference clash with the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night. The Bucks are coming off a 97-92 upset on the road against the Houston Rockets. The Warriors won in impressive fashion 123-107 over the Boston Celtics on Saturday night.

This is the first meeting between these teams in the 2022-23 campaign, they meet again on January 19th in Boston. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM EST/4:30 PST as the first game of a TNT doubleheader.

Warriors Win Finals Rematch With Celtics

The Golden State Warriors improved to 14-13 on the season as they continued their dominance over the Boston Celtics with a 17 point victory. Klay Thompson shot the lights out with 34 points on 14-26 from the field and 4-11 from three-point land.

Curry was right on his heels with 32 points on 12-21 from the floor and 6-11 from beyond the arc. Jordan Poole added 20 points starting in place of the injured Andrew Wiggins despite going 1 for 9 from long distance.

Wiggins missed his last three games with a thigh injury and is questionable for this contest. The Warriors had a solid defensive effort and shot 13 for 39 (33.3%) from long range to get another victory over Boston. Golden State has an elite offense that ranks 4th in scoring with 117.6 points a game.

While improving recently, the defense hasn’t lived up to last seasons expectations as they rank 23rd with 116.1 points allowed per game. Wiggins has already been ruled out for this contest with a groin injury while Draymond Green is probable with a left ankle sprain.

Bucks Look For Bounce Back

The Milwaukee Bucks fell to 19-7 on the season after watching a four game winning streak fall by the wayside in a road loss to the Houston Rockets. Jrue Holiday led the way with 25 points to go along with 8 assists and 6 rebounds.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had a 16 point 18 rebound double-double as did Bobby Portis who collected 17 points and 15 rebounds off the bench. The big news was Khris Middleton leaving early in the second quarter with an ankle sprain, he didn’t return and is listed as doubtful for this contest.

A shocking statistic was Houston outscoring Milwaukee 56-36 in the paint considering Antetokounmpo & Lopez played significant minutes.

The Bucks offense ranks below average at 17th with 112 points per game. Defense is Milwaukees calling card as they are the #2 scoring defense with only 107.5 points allowed per game. Outside of Middletons status being in question, the Bucks sport a clean injury.

Milwaukee Bucks vs Golden State Warriors Prop Prediction

The Milwaukee Bucks are 4 point home favorites with a total of 233.5. This is an exciting matchup between two star studded teams. The Bucks generally control the paint but were dominated by Houston in their last game.

We can expect a focused effort in this area as Milwaukee allows the least points inside of ten feet in the league. Unfortunately for Draymond Green, that’s where he scores 70% of his points. Green will be tasked with guarding Antetokounmpo, he will expel a ton of energy on the defensive end.

Antetokounmpo draws the most fouls on his team while Green leads Golden State in personal fouls, so foul trouble could be an issue.

Green is dealing with an ankle injury on the first game of a back-to-back, so minutes could be somewhat limited. The point total on Green is 8.5 and see multiple different ways he falls under against a Milwaukee defense that is tough in the paint.
