NBA Player Prop Predictions 1: Mikal Bridges

Brooklyn Nets small forward Mikal Bridges has averaged 20.2 points on 44.9% shooting through his first ten games of the NBA regular season.

Bridges points prop is set at 24.5, a total he has only achieved twice in ten games with 27 & 31 points. He did score 27 points in his last game against a weak Washington Wizards defense, but that won’t be the case tonight against an Orlando Magic team that ranks 6th with only 106.1 points per game.

The Magic have also been strong against opposing shooting guards as they rank 4th with only 19.89 points allowed per game.

Ben Simmons and Cam Thomas have both already been ruled out, but Simmons isn’t a big scorer and we have seen Bridges fall short of this total without Thomas on the floor. This Nets team plays team ball, and the Magic are playing great defense, ride the trend of Bridges going under his point total of 24.5.

NBA Player Prop Predictions 2: Rudy Gobert, Timberwolves OVER 11.5 Rebounds (-115) DK

Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert has averaged 12.2 points and 12.8 rebounds on 54.8% shooting through his first nine games of the 2023-24 campaign.

Gobert has recorded 12+ rebounds in 6 of those 9 games while landing on 10 exactly in the other three games. He landed on 10 two nights ago against the Golden State Warriors, but Karl-Anthony Towns snagged 14 boards as multiple bounces went his way.

However, Gobert did grab 18 rebounds in his last matchup against the Dubs last season. Steph Curry may miss tonight’s contest and if he does that means even more missed shots and potential defensive rebounds for Gobert.

The Warriors also rank middle of the pack with 14.62 rebounds allowed to opposing centers. The spread is only -2 so we should see Gobert get full minutes to clear this number in a close game.
