NBA Player Props Predictions 1: Tim Hardaway Jr OVER 16.5 Points (-120) DK

Dallas Mavericks shooting guard Tim Hardaway Jr is averaging 16.9 points per game on 42.4% shooting from the field through his first 19 games of the NBA regular season.

Hardaway has now scored 17+ points in 12 of those 19 games including the last two games. That includes a 21-point effort in his last head-to-head game against the Memphis Grizzlies while shooting 8 for 14 from the field.

Hardaway Jr should see plenty of volume tonight as the #2 option with Kyrie Irving on the shelf with a heel contusion.

The Grizzlies allow the 2nd most three-pointers per game and that’s where Hardaway Jr can feast. The Mavs will also be playing without starters Josh Green and Grant Williams, leaving even more points available for Hardaway Jr tonight.

The spread is only -1.5 so Hardaway Jr should see full minutes as the #2 scorer behind only Luka Doncic.

NBA Player Props Predictions 2: Nikola Jokic UNDER 29.5 Points (-115)

Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic is averaging 28.4 points per game on 53.5% shooting from the field early in the 2023-24 campaign.

However, Jokic has failed to score 30+ points in EVERY head-to-head game against Atlanta Hawks center Clint Capela. That’s a perfect 21 for 21 to the under when Joker is facing Capela in his career.

Jokic actually hasn’t even come close as 27 was his highest total way back in 2019. Jokic has been even worse since Capela joined the Hawks, failing to eclipse 24 points in all six games.

Capela held Joker to only 14, 24, 20, 22, 16 and 15 points in those 6 games. Capela has also been in great form with 16, 12 and 17 rebounds while playing 29+ minutes in each of his last three games.

Jokic has also been a worse scorer on the road where he has scored 30+ in only 4 of 12 games this season. This play is pretty simple, Capela avoids foul trouble, and we will see another Jokic under in points, making this prop a perfect 22 for 22.
