NBA Player Props Predictions 1: LaMelo Ball, Hornets Over 26.5 Points (-110) DK

Charlotte Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball has averaged 24.9 points per game on his shortened season while shooting 43.3% from the field. Ball has cleared this point total in 10 of his last 13 games and one those games was cut short due to an injury.

In the three games since his return from injury, Ball has scored 28, 21 and 29 points. The 28-point effort came three games ago against tonight’s opponent the San Antonio Spurs.

The Spurs defense ranks 26th in points allowed overall and they allow the MOST points to opposing point guards with 27.85 per game.

They also rank 3rd in pace of play and with a total set at 235.5, we could be set for a track meet. Victor Wembanyama has already been ruled out so San Antonio will lack rim protection and Ball can take advantage.

Gordon Hayward has already been ruled out and Nick Richards & Brandon Miller are questionable, leaving potential extra points on the table for Ball and company.

It’s a big number but Ball has cleared it in two of his last three games despite hovering around 30 minutes per game. Look for Ball to take advantage of a weak Spurs defense and clear this mark.

NBA Player Props Predictions 2: Jaylen Brown, Celtics Over 8.5 Rebounds + Assists (+100) DK

Boston Celtics shooting guard Jaylen Brown is averaging 5.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game for an average of 8.7 Rebounds + Assists thus far in the 2023-24 campaign.

Brown has fallen short of this RA total 5 of his last 7 games overall but has cleared it in 11 of 15 games (69%) when playing 30+ minutes at home.

He’s also eclipsed this mark in 3 of his last 4 games against the Denver Nuggets with 11, 6, 16 & 11 RA for an average of 11 per game.

The 16 & 11 RA efforts both came in home games where Brown has racked up stats in both categories. Tonight’s spread is only 7 with a total set at 234 so we should see plenty of opportunities for Brown to collect RA in a close game.

Brown has feasted in these categories during home games when playing full minutes and we can take advantage of playing this at even money tonight.
