The Pelicans, the No. 4 seed in the West, will host the No. 2 seed Thunder for a matchup between two Western Conference heavyweights. Both teams are fighting to keep their positioning, so wins are important despite their current success. The season series is tied 1-1, so the winner of this third-and-final matchup will hold the tiebreaker.
The Pelicans won the first meeting by four back on November 1, and the Thunder won the second meeting in dominating fashion on January 26. Both teams are playing very good basketball right now, but the Thunder are struggling to get bettors to the ticket window. Oklahoma City is 7-3 straight-up in its last ten games but just 2-8 against the spread. New Orleans is 8-2 straight-up in its last ten games while going 6-4 against the number.
In the month of March, the Pelicans are No. 2 in the NBA in net rating thanks to their No. 2-ranked defense.
