Orlando Magic vs Golden State Warriors Analysis
The Golden Warriors travel to Orlando for an inter-conference matchup with the Magic. The Magic are coming off a rare win with a 90-85 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder to improve to 19-53 on the season.
Losing has become a more common occurrence of late for the Warriors. Their record fell to 47-24 with a 110-108 loss against the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday afternoon. Golden State smashed Orlando 126-95 at home in their lone meeting back in December.
Magic Accidentally Score a Win
Not much has gone right for the Orland Magic this season but they did edge out the Oklahoma City Thunder for a victory in their last game.
Unfortunately it was against a Thunder team that is in direct competition for ping pong balls in the upcoming NBA Draft. Both teams are bottom five in the standings, so it’s at the point where you are better off losing games.
Wendell Carter Jr had one of his best games this season with 30 points and 16 rebounds. The Magic are now 4-6 in their last 10 games. Jalen Suggs is out for this game with an ankle injury, he will join Bol Bol and Johnathan Isaac on the Orlando bench.
Orlando ranks 21st with 112 points allowed per game and 28th in scoring with only 104.3 points a game.
No Curry No Dice For Warriors
The Golden State Warriors may need some time to adjust to life without Steph Curry. The All Star guard will miss significant time with a sprained ligament in his foot. The Warriors had took a tough loss in their first game without Curry.
The Spurs got out to 36-22, the Warriors were never able to recover and ultimately lost 110-108. Jordan Poole led the team with 28 points, while Klay Thompson added 24 points of his own.
James Wiseman is still out and Andrew Wiggins is listed as questionable for tonight’s contest. The Warriors rank 13th in scoring with 111 points a game and 5th in points allowed with only 105 points allowed per game.
Orlando Magic vs Golden State Warriors Prediction
The Golden State Warriors enter this game as 7.5 point road favorites with a total set at 215. This game features two teams close to top ten in pace as the Magic rank 9th and the Warriors 11th.
The Magic shot poorly against the Thunder, so this should be a nice bounce back spot for them. Both teams have been involved in high scoring games of late with the last five Magic games averaging 229 and the last five Warrior games.
Golden State has also trended towards the over on the road, cashing 6 of their last 7 over tickets. This total seems awful low at only 215, we will go over for this one.
Prediction: Over 215
