Thunder vs Kings Analysis

The Kings have now endured four straight losses including a 115-110 defeat against the Denver Nuggets in their last game. The Thunder have been in poor form but did pick up a 129-125 victory over the Indiana Pacers in their last game.

The home team has prevailed in all three head-to-head matchups, the Thunder won 105-103 while the Kings won 117-111 and 113-103.

Thunder vs Kings Team Totals

The Sacramento Kings come into this game as five point favorites with a total of 227 points. This sets the Kings team total at 116.5 and the Thunder at 111.5. While the Thunder come into this game as the lowest scoring team in the league, they have went over the total in four straight and nine of their last 14 games.

The Kings defense is horrible, as they rank 28th in scoring defense. However, the Thunder have relied heavily on on the opposition to hit those totals. They have only scored 112 points or more in two of their last ten games and one of those was an overtime game. The Thunder will be missing two key offensive contributors in Josh Giddey and Lou Dort. This number seems high for Oklahoma City, even against a poor defense like Sacramento.

Recommendation: Oklahoma City Thunder Team Total Under 111.5 Points

Thunder vs Kings Player Props

De’Aaron Fox has been a great look for an over on points recently but was set at 22.5 or 23.5. He’s set at 24.5 tonight, which may be a bit high considering the Thunder’s lack of size increasing the chances of Domantas Sabonis having a big game.

As mentioned earlier, the Thunder will be without Josh Giddey and Lou Dort, which leaves a good amount of stats up for grabs. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been the player who has benefited most from their absences. In two games since coming back from injury, Gilgeous-Alexander has scored 32 and 36 points. Even before his injury SGA scored 29 points or more in 4 of 6 games. His point total is set high at 27.5 but this is a great matchup. The Kings allow the 6th most points per game to opposing point guards and the most points in the paint per game. Gilgeous-Alexander does most of his damage in the paint and from the free throw line. This is a perfect recipe for another 30 point performance.

Recommendation: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Over 27.5 Points

Thunder vs Kings Same-Game Parlay

  • Shai Gilgeous-Alexander OVER 24.5 Points
  • De’Aaron Fox OVER 3.5 Assists
  • Domantas Sabonis OVER 11.5 Rebounds
    +125 at DraftKings

As usual we will start with our best prop, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander points over but lowered to 25 points or more.

The Thunder allow 9.45 assists to opposing point guards, the most of any team in the NBA. De’Aaron Fox has had 4 or more assists in 10 of his last 12 games, landing on 3 in the other two games. We will add Fox over 3.5 assists.

Domantas Sabonis should have a field day on the boards, based on the fact that he won’t have to leave the paint on defense to guard Isaiah Roby or Derrick Favors. The Thunder allow the 2nd most rebounds to opposing centers with 17.52 a game. The lowest we can set Sabonis rebounds to is 11.5, a total he has cleared in 4 of 6 games since joining the Kings with 9 & 11 in the other two games.

Wrap up all three easily attainable totals for +125 odds at DraftKings.
