Thursday NBA Parlay Picks (Leg 1): CJ McCollum, Pelicans Over 23.5 Points + Assists (-110)

CJ McCollum is coming off back-to-back brutal games against the San Antonio Spurs, but he torched the Phoenix Suns for 25 points and 6 assists (31 PA) back in early December.

McCollum has thrived against Phoenix throughout his career as he’s covered this line in 14 of his last 18 head-to-head games including each of his last three games. 

The Suns have allowed the 2nd most points to opposing point guards (25.7/game) and 8 straight opposing point guards have cleared their respective PA lines against them including Ja Morant 37 & 32 PA, Immanuel Quickley 31, Josh Giddey 34, Jamal Murray 35 PA, the list goes on and on.

Phoenix ranks 24th against pick & roll ballhandlers, 26th in transition defense and 24th against at-the-break three-pointers which accounts for 81% of McCollum’s scoring.

CJ has recorded 5+ potential assists in 9 of his last 10 games and he logged 8 potential assists against the Suns earlier this season. We should also see plenty of scoring opportunities in a game with a total set at 235.5.

Thursday NBA Parlay Picks (Leg 2): Christian Braun, Nuggets Under 2.5 Assists (-140)

Christian Braun has fallen short of this line in 17 of his last 20 games when the Denver Nuggets are fully healthy against teams that rank top 20 in assists allowed while averaging only 1.4 assists per game.

Now he’s facing a Milwaukee Bucks team that has allowed the 9th fewest assists overall with only 25.8 per game and 4 of the last 6 opposing shooting guards have fallen short of their respective lines.

With Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and Russell Westbrook on the court there is no need for Braun to facilitate and he becomes a transition scorer.

When Denver has their full complement of players, Braun averages only three potential assists per game which means he’ll need a 100% conversion rate to eclipse this line.

This is also a slight pace down spot for Braun and the Nuggets (6th) as Milwaukee ranks 16th in pace of play.

Thursday Parlay Picks (Leg 3): Charlotte Hornets vs Dallas Mavericks Under 225.5 (-138)

Both of these teams have struggled to score in recent games as the Charlotte Hornets have scored 88, 88 and 92 points in their last three games while the Dallas Mavericks have scored 99, 102 and 111 points.

The Hornets have the second best under record in the NBA at 35-22 and the while Mavericks sit close to .500 overall, they have posted a 17-12 record to the under at home.

We should also fully expect a slow tempo as these teams’ rank 18th and 21st in pace of play. Both teams are banged up and lacking scoring options so points will be at premium, but we took an alternate line at a solid price to be safe.
