In his first two games back in action this season, Khris Middleton has recorded 5 and 6 assists in only 20 and 23 minutes and we could potentially see him start tonight in an NBA Cup game.

Half of Middletons assists have gone through Giannis Antetokounmpo and he should dominate as the Orlando Magic lack a true rim protector.

Last season, Middleton recorded 7 assists against Orlando despite playing 20 minutes due to a restriction and then posted another 5 against them in April. We have seen Middleton deal with six injuries that have kept him on the shelf for 5+ games since 2021.

He’s generally on a minute’s restriction in the first three games back but we have seen him record 4+ assists in 16 of those 17 games for an average of 5.37 per game. Considering the matchup and potential for additional minutes, this line is a gift.
