Warriors vs Heat Analysis

The Warriors are coming off an embarrassing 134-105 loss on the road in Phoenix. The Heat will be playing the second game of a back-to-back after winning their their first road game 119-98 against the Portland Trail Blazers. The teams only play twice per season and Miami will host Golden State on Tuesday, November 1 in South Beach. The Warriors won both head-to-head meetings in the 2021-22 campaign.

Heat Head West

The Miami Heat started the season 1-3 at home but thrived in their first road game with a 119-98 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. Six different Heat players scored 14 points or more, including all five starters. Bam Adebayo paced his team with 18 points while grabbing eight rebounds.

Miami has a common theme in their three losses of playing one poor quarter. In each of those games, they lost a quarter by eight points or more.

As usual, defense is the Heat’s calling card as they rank top-ten in scoring defense with 108 points allowed per game on 44.3-percent shooting. However, points have been hard to come by as Miami ranks 28th with only 103.5 points a game.

They have also struggled from beyond the arc with a 33-percent shooting from three-point range. This team relies heavily on the three-ball, so improving on that percentage is critical.

Miami continues to be without Victor Oladipo and Omer Yurtseven as both players work their way back from injury.

Warriors Look To Right The Ship

Steph Curry paced his squad with 21 points but shot only 7-for-17 from the field in that loss in Phoenix. He also led the team in assists with eight dimes while Draymond Green patrolled the paint with a team-high eight boards. Golden State was out-shot from three-point land 41.4% to 28.6%. Klay Thompson was ejected from the game for the first time in his career after a heated exchange with Devin Booker.

Donte DiVincenzo and Andre Iguodala both remain without a timetable return and the Warriors are not rushing them back. The Warriors rank fourth in the league with 120.3 points per game on 47.4-percent shooting as a team.

Defense has been a different story as they have allowed 124 points a game. However, they do force the third-most turnovers while holding opponents to 32.9-percent shooting from long distance.

Warriors vs Heat Prop Bet

The Heat have a stout defense but the Warriors may have too many weapons to keep up. If Miami allows that one bad quarter like they have been all season, the Warriors will drop the hammer.

Andrew Wiggins will be a big part of that as he has become the clear cut No. 2 option behind Steph Curry. Draymond Green has never been much of a scorer and Klay Thompson seems to still be working himself back into form.

The Heat have allowed 28.39 points a game to opposing small forwards, which is the second-most behind only the Toronto Raptors. Wiggins has cleared this point total of 17.5 in three of four games with 16 in the only game he fell short.

Prediction: Andrew Wiggins OVER 17.5 Points -105 at DraftKings
