49ers vs Seahawks Prediction: 49ers Football Preview

The 49ers hosted the Buccaneers on Sunday, and as expected, they took care of business with relative ease.

Tampa Bay plays a zone-heavy defense with a lot of blitzes, and that is exactly what Brock Purdy excels against. Purdy led the 49ers to 420 yards of offense in the win.

The 49ers had no turnovers and forced two, and they were basically unstoppable all day in the win.

Seahawks Football Preview

The Seahawks traveled to Los Angeles to play the Rams and blew a halftime lead to Los Angeles for the 2nd time this season.

Geno Smith got hurt during the game and missed the entire 4th quarter of the game, and the Rams were able to mount their comeback and win. Seattle had a shot at a game-winning field goal, but the 55-yard try missed.

49ers vs Seahawks Prediction: The PICK

These two teams will face off on Thursday night for the first time this season. These teams are 5-5 in their L10 matchups, but the 49ers are 6-4 ATS. Those games went 6-3-1 to the over.

The 49ers are 4-2 ATS in their L6 games against Seattle, but they are 5-15 SU in their L20 games against Seattle, including 2-10 SU in their L12 games on the road in Seattle.

In the playoffs last year, the Seahawks were driving with a chance to tie the game before a fumble led to the 49ers breaking the floodgates open.

History tells us that Pete Caroll has Kyle Shanahan’s number, but it will be tough for the Seahawks to perform well without Geno Smith and Ken Walker.

Stylistically, Seattle matches up well enough that we do not expect the 49ers to cover, but it is hard to back an unknown in Drew Lock against this elite 49ers defense. We expect this game to be closer than the spread indicates.
