Los Angeles Chargers running back JK Dobbins let us down last week against a vulnerable Arizona Cardinals run defense but I’m fully expecting a bounce back against a New Orleans Saints defense that has allowed the 2nd most yards per carry with 4.7 per attempt.

More importantly, they have allowed the 5th most rushing touchdowns (7) and yards (116.8/game) to opposing running backs.

The Saints have been absolutely gashed in back-to-back games, allowing 225 rushing yards to the Denver Broncos and 277 yards to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Dobbins has only scored in 3 of 6 games but he’s handled 59% of his teams rushing attempts including more than half of the red area carries.

The only back competing with Dobbins was Gus Edwards and he remains on the IR, so the path is clear for Dobbins to find the end zone in Week 8.

NFL Week 8 Anytime Touchdown Props Prediction: Kareem Hunt Kansas City Chiefs (-140) FD

Kareem Hunt has scored three touchdowns in his last two games while recording 49 carries and 62 touches during that span.

The Kansas City Chiefs have attempted the 6th most rushes in the league and that should continue against a Las Vegas Raiders team that has allowed the 8th most rushing touchdowns (6) & rushing yards (107.4) to opposing running backs while allowing 4.8 yards per carry overall.

The Raiders have also allowed a running back to score in 6 of their first 7 games while only keeping a diminished Cleveland Browns backfield out of the end zone.

Vegas beat the Chiefs on Christmas Day last season, but that defense ranked 9th in points allowed while the 2024 version currently ranks 29th.

The Chiefs are favored by close to double digits and considering the fact that Hunt will receive the lion’s share of the workload, I fully expect him hit paydirt this week.
