NFL Monday Night Football Props Prediction: Brock Purdy, 49ers UNDER 237.5 Passing Yards (-113) FanDuel

The Jets and 49ers both sat top ten in total yards given up on defense with the Jets specifically sitting second in passing yards given up per game with just 168.

Brock Purdy’s passing yard number is listed at 237.5 and although he threw for over 260 yards per game last season, he struggled against notable defenses including Pittsburgh (220 yards), Cleveland (125 yards) and Seattle (209).

The 49ers had an eventful offseason with both Brandon Aiyuk and Trent Williams both holding out in which both didn’t log any preseason snaps.

This could result in the 49ers offense coming out a little rusty as they look to find their grove that led them to a Super Bowl loss last season.

Purdy is as consistent as they come but the team could opt to lean on McCaffery out of the gates, similar to last season in their win vs Pittsburgh in which the San Francisco running back carried the ball 22 times for 152 yards.

It’s also worth noting that the Jets finished bottom 10 in rushing yards allowed in which San Francisco could take advantage of. Take Purdy to throw for under 237.5 yards during Monday Night Football tonight!

NFL Monday Night Football Props Prediction: Aaron Rodgers, Jets UNDER 2.5 Rushing Yards (-140) FanDuel

Coming off a torn Achilles in last season’s Monday Night Football opener, do you see Aaron Rodgers looking to run at all?

We sure don’t with his rushing yards number listed at 2.5 ahead of tonight’s showdown with the 49ers. Rodgers is entering his 20th season and will be more hesitant to run now more than ever considering the circumstances of his injury.

We definitely don’t see a play getting drawn up for Rodgers to run and should he get pressured in the backfield, he’ll likely just go down for a sack to not risk injury right out of the gates like last season.

Even in his last full season at Green Bay it wasn’t until later in the season when Rodgers started running, netting just nine total rushing yards across the team’s first seven games, going over 2.5 rushing yards just once.
