NFL Week 1 Anytime Touchdown Props Prediction: Josh Allen QB Buffalo Bills (-125) DK

During the 2023 campaign, Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts set the NFL all-time record for quarterback rushing touchdowns in a single season with 15 and only one player had more rushing touchdowns, Raheem Mostert with 18.

Now Allen has the opportunity to feast on an Arizona Cardinals run defense that allowed the MOST rushing yards in general last season at 143.2 per game.

The Cardinals also allowed the 8th most rushing yards to opposing quarterbacks (353) and more importantly, they tied for the 3rd most rushing touchdowns allowed to opposing quarterbacks with five.

By all accounts, Arizona is ranked as a bottom three defense, and they took a major blow with the loss of linebacker BJ Ojulari after he tore his ACL early in training camp.

Allen has always been aggressive on the ground and he’s likely to put even more responsibility on himself after Buffalo lost wide receivers Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis.

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara is unhappy with his contract situation but with that being said, he attended all of training camp and he’s prepared to set that aside and resume his role as the #1 scoring option on the team.

The Carolina Panthers defense is ranked bottom 3 with the above-mentioned Cardinals and they allowed the 9th most rushing yards in 2023 with 122.3 per game.

More importantly, they allowed MOST rushing touchdowns (21) and 4th most rushing yards to opposing running backs (1,853).

Kamara scored a touchdown while running the ball 12 times for 56 yards in his lone game against Carolina in December.

Kamara also catches passes out of the backfield, giving him every opportunity to be Derek Carr’s #1 option in the red zone and the contract situation will give him another motivation factor in the early season.
