NFL Week 8 Team Total Points Prop: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Under 23.5 (-142) DK

After holding opponents under this line in each of their first three games, the Atlanta Falcons have allowed 3 of their last 4 opponents to score 24+ points.

That includes a game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where they allowed a season high 36 points, but the Bucs offense lost their star wideouts Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (ankle) in Week 8. Baker Mayfield only threw for 173 yards in that game but 2 of his 4 touchdown passes went to Evans.

Mayfield has been blitzed at the 4th highest rate in the NFL (71 times) and the Falcons can dial up plenty of blitz packages without having to worry about Godwin and Evans.

In Week 5, Tampa Bay tallied 160 rushing yards but now the Falcons defense will be able to focus shutting down the ground game.

This will be Mayfield’s first game without his top two options, and I anticipate an ugly divisional battle on Sunday afternoon.

NFL Week 8 Team Total Points Prop: Cleveland Browns Over 16.5 Points (-128) FD

After scoring 17 and 18 points in the first two weeks of the season, the Cleveland Browns have failed eclipse this line in each of their last five games.

However, they have been remarkably consistent, scoring somewhere between 13 and 18 points in every game this season.

More importantly, Jameis Winston is starting at quarterback in place of the injured Deshaun Watson (Achilles).

We know Watson isn’t afraid to throw the ball up & down the field and the Baltimore Ravens defense allows the MOST passing yards with 287 per game.

They also allow the 7th most points (25.7/game) and a big part of that is the offense piling up points and forcing the opposition into passing situations.

The Ravens are favored by -9 points and when they inevitably build a lead, Watson won’t be afraid to chuck it.

We only need two touchdowns and a field goal in a home game to clear this number against a defense that allows 25+ points per game.
