NFL Week 4 Totals Points Prop: New York Jets OVER 19.5 (-106) FD

Despite scoring 26 points in Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Denver Broncos are only averaging 17.3 points per game.

The Broncos went 4-13 on third downs in that game and that won’t be good enough against a New York Jets defense that has had 11 days to prepare for this contest.

The Jets looked great on Thursday night, holding the New England Patriots to only 3 points and 139 yards of total offense.

They rank 8th in points allowed (17.3/game) and 7th in total yardage allowed (280/game) including the 4th fewest passing yards allowed with just over 150 per game.

Obviously, a big part of their success is shutdown cornerback Sauce Gardner who held Courtland Sutton to only one catch on three targets for 13 yards in 2023.

The Broncos have a banged up offensive line including an injury to right tackle Mike McGlinchey, and they have struggled to run the ball outside of a few chunk plays against the Bucs. Now they’re playing in front of a hostile crowd against and elite defense.

NFL Week 4 Totals Points Prop: Arizona Cardinals UNDER 21.5 (-130) DK

After scoring 28 and 41 points in the first two weeks of the season, the Arizona Cardinals offense has hit the skids with only 13 and 14 points in their last two games.

Last week, they faced a vulnerable Washington Commanders pass defense and Kyler Murray went 16-22 for only 142 passing yards and a lone touchdown.

Now they travel to San Francisco to face a 49ers defense that ranks 9th in yards allowed (295.3/game) and 11th in points allowed with 20.5 per game.

The 49ers have held two of their four opponents under this total with 23 & 27 points allowed in the other games. San Francisco has been elite against the run with only 96.3 rushing yards allowed per game, so Arizona won’t be able to lean on James Conner.

Tight end Trey McBride is slated to return to practice after dealing with a concussion but even if he returns, I don’t think it will be enough for the Cardinals to score 22+ points against this San Francisco defense.
