Despite scoring 26 points in Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Denver Broncos are only averaging 17.3 points per game.

The Broncos went 4-13 on third downs in that game and that won’t be good enough against a New York Jets defense that has had 11 days to prepare for this contest.

The Jets looked great on Thursday night, holding the New England Patriots to only 3 points and 139 yards of total offense.

They rank 8th in points allowed (17.3/game) and 7th in total yardage allowed (280/game) including the 4th fewest passing yards allowed with just over 150 per game.

Obviously, a big part of their success is shutdown cornerback Sauce Gardner who held Courtland Sutton to only one catch on three targets for 13 yards in 2023.

The Broncos have a banged up offensive line including an injury to right tackle Mike McGlinchey, and they have struggled to run the ball outside of a few chunk plays against the Bucs. Now they’re playing in front of a hostile crowd against and elite defense.

The Arizona Cardinals did only score 13 points last week against a strong Detroit Lions, but they crushed this total in each of the first two weeks of the season with 41 points against the Los Angeles Rams and 28 points against the Buffalo Bills.

The Cardinals rank 4th with 27.3 points per game and 7th with 345.3 yards per game. Now they will have the opportunity to feast on a pathetic Washington Commanders defense that has allowed the 4th most points (29.3/game) and yards (377.3/game).

The Commanders managed to hold the New York Giants to 18 points in Week 2 but allowed 37 points to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 1 and 33 points to the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football.

This game sets up as a shootout with the highest total of Week 4 at 50.5 and Washington has shown the ability to push the scoring.
