The Birth of the Monsters of the Midway 

In 1920, the Chicago Bears were born as the Decatur Staleys. The following year, George Halas, the founding father of the franchise, relocated the team to Chicago and rebranded it as the Chicago Bears. A founding member of the NFL, the Bears quickly established themselves as a dominant force. 

T-Formation Revolutionizes the Game 

Under the innovative mind of George Halas and the quarterbacking prowess of Sid Luckman, the Bears adopted the T-Formation. This offensive alignment revolutionized the game. The highlight of this era was the 1940 NFL Championship game, where the Bears demolished the Washington Redskins 73-0. 

The Legacy of Linebackers
