NFL Week 6 Betting Leans
Again, just to reiterate: As of Friday afternoon, these are games that I have not bet. I am simply sharing some of my notes that may, perhaps, assist in your handicapping as you break down the NFL Week 6 card.
Minnesota -2.5 at Carolina – Minnesota is the better team and looked very playable at +1, but that number is long gone and I am unwilling to lay -2 (or perhaps more) as the line continues to move closer to kickoff.
Detroit +3 vs Cincinnati – I strongly considered Detroit here as they’re playing better than that 0-5 record indicates. But the inability of the Lions to close a game made it a bit too tough for me to bet them here.
Las Vegas +4 at Denver – It’s tempting to take what is now a seemingly generous +4 with a team that might have a point to prove following the Gruden fiasco. But my preference here was the total rather than the side.
Pittsburgh -5 vs Seattle – Geno Smith looked good in relief last week, but there’s nothing to suggest that continues against a very tough Pittsburgh defense. The line just a shade too high for investment purposes, in my opinion.
Buffalo -5 at Tennessee – There’s no question about the who’s the superior team, that’s the Bills. But it’s also a prime letdown spot for Buffalo and I can’t lay this many with the Bills on Monday night.
