The New York teams remain as the ultimate fades for first touchdown scorers as the Jets have scored first only once this season and that was against the equally pathetic Giants.

The Buffalo Bills are a 50/50 team in this category after Deonte Hardy scored first in the 4th quarter of their last game against the Giants.

These teams already squared off in Week 1 and Stefon Diggs was first to find the end zone on a five-yard touchdown reception.

While Diggs does have an impressive seven touchdowns on the season, that is his only first touchdown thus far. That is actually the lone touchdown that the Jets have allowed to an opposing wide receiver all season long.

The same can’t be said for the tight end position as the Jets have allowed a league high six touchdowns to opposing tight ends. Dalton Kincaid has two touchdowns in his rookie campaign, and he has been heavily targeted recently as he no longer has to compete with Dawson Knox.

You could also make a case for Josh Allen, but we have seen him run less against weaker opponents as he doesn’t feel the urgency to risk his health.

We have fired away split bets on fades of the Jets with the Raiders and Chargers and got burnt by a punt return by Derius Davis and tight end Michael Mayers first touchdown reception of the season.

Third time is a charm, lets fire away a split bet on Diggs and Kincaid as the logical choices to score first against the Jets this Sunday.

First Touchdown Scorer Prop Prediction 2: Travis Kelce First TD (+550) DK

All eyes will be on Monday Night Football this week as there will be Kelce brothers & Swifties as well as the NFL game of the year up to this point in the season.

Both offenses are loaded with players who could score the first touchdown, but a motivated Travis Kelce has my attention. Kelce has four touchdowns on the season, and he’ll be looking for paydirt after not scoring in his last two games.

While none of those touchdowns were the first of the game, he did lead the Chiefs last season with three first TDs.

The Philadelphia Eagles are tied for the second most touchdowns allowed to opposing tight ends with five. They have allowed touchdowns to tight ends in each of their last two games as Jake Ferguson scored in Week 9 and Logan Thomas scored in Week 8.

The Eagles also have a stout run defense that ranks #1 with only 66.3 yards allowed per game. The Chiefs also have a strong defense that could keep Philadelphia off balance early in the game.

Kelce will be the focal point of the night and he hasn’t scored in two weeks. Mahomes will surely be looking his way, making him worthy of a small play at +550 odds.
