First TD Scorer Prop Pick 1: Tyreek Hill, Dolphins (+600 or better projected line)

It’s been business as usual for Miami Dolphins speedy wide receiver Tyreek Hill as he has recorded 28 receptions on 40 targets for 470 yards and four touchdowns.

Hill also scored seven touchdowns in his first season with the Dolphins in 2022 but none of those were first touchdowns.

However, Hill did score his first “first TD” as a Miami Dolphin in Week 3 while cashing our first touchdown ticket since starting these articles at the beginning of the season.

Nothing is going right for a New York Giants team; they rank middle of the road with 207.8 passing yards allowed per game but have allowed four touchdowns to opposing wide receivers.

Two of those occurrences came as first touchdowns during the last two games as San Franisco 49ers wide-out Ronnie Bell scored first in Week 3 and Detroit Lions wide-out DK Metcalf scored first last week.

You have to think that the Giants pass defense would be in worse shape had it not been for both the Cowboys and Seahawks recording defensive touchdowns that kept the G-Men’s defense off the field.

The Dolphins are the most heavily favored team in Week 5 with an 11-point spread and the New York offense can’t get out of its own way.

I could see a small sprinkle on Miami getting their first defensive touchdown of the season as the first of the game at +2500 or better but we will ride with the “Cheetah” again on Sunday.

First TD Scorer Prop Prediction 2: Davante Adams (+500 or better projected line)

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams is already putting together another stellar season, catching 33 of his 50 targets for 397 receiving yards and three touchdowns in his first four games of the 2023 campaign.

Two of three touchdowns were the first score of the game and Adams also recorded three first touchdown games during the 2022 campaign.

The Green Bay Packers pass defense does rank 11th in passing yards allowed with only 197.3 yards allowed. However, they have allowed four receiving touchdowns, three of those to wide receivers and two of them being first touchdowns.

The Pack allowed New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham to score first in Week 3 and Detroit Lions wide-out Amon-Ra St Brown scored first on them last week.

It’s no coincidence that superstar cornerback Jaire Alexander missed both of those games with a back injury.

Alexander is questionable again this week and Adams will be ready to feast if Alexander misses the game or continues to be hampered.

On top of that, this game is the definition of revenge spot as Adams will be playing against his former team for the first time after playing the first eight seasons of his career in Green Bay.

His quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo missed last week due to a concussion but looks on track to return in Week 5. Regardless, you have to like Adams chances to score first against his former team in a vulnerable spot.
