First Touchdown Scorer Prop Prediction 1: Jordan Addison, Vikings First TD (+950)

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison has caught 29 of his 44 targets for 400 yards and six touchdowns through the first seven games of his NFL career.

Addison is coming off hands down the best game of his short career against a strong San Francisco 49ers defense where he set career highs in targets (10), receptions (7), yards (123) and touchdowns (2).

More importantly, Addison is tied with Christian McCaffrey & Jakobi Meyers with most first touchdowns with three in only seven games.

The Green Bay Packers pass defense ranks 8th in both passing yards allowed per game (194.3) and touchdowns allowed to opposing wide receivers (5).

However, the Pack has now allowed first touchdowns to opposing wide receivers as Courtland Sutton, Jakobi Meyers and Amon-Ra St Brown all hit paydirt first against them.

Addison has scored touchdowns in three weeks, and he has also scored first for his own team a league high four times.

We finally have some data to look back on and based on these numbers this first touchdown play tops my list so far this season.

First Touchdown Scorer Prop Prediction 2: Breece Hall, Jets First TD +600 / Saquon Barkley, Giants First TD +500 (split unit on each)

Someone has to score the first in the Big Apple showdown between the two teams with the least first touchdown scorers in the NFL on Sunday.

The New York Jets are the only team that hasn’t scored first in a game this season and the New York Giants have scored only one first touchdown (14.3%) thus far.

No surprise, the starting running backs are the two odds on favorites to score first as Saquon Barkley sits +500 odds and Breece Hall sits at +600. Neither player has scored first in a game, but Hall has scored his team’s first touchdown in back-to-back games.

The Giants have allowed the 3rd most running back rushing touchdowns with 8 while keeping backs out of the end zone through the air.

The Jets have done a better job keeping opposing backs out of the end zone as they rank 3rd with one but they have allowed two via the pass.

Barkley is listed as questionable with an elbow injury but says he is good to go and managed to play through the injury last week and record 118 all-purpose yards and a touchdown.

Based on how often these two players will touch the ball, one will score first in all likelihood. Let’s be sneaky and split the unit on each and at least quadruple our money if one hits.
