Seattle, hosting the 2nd worst team in our power ratings, lost outright and never had control of the game. The Rams absolutely dominated the 2nd half, outscoring Seattle 23-0.

The Seahawks allowed 426 yards and 27 first downs while picking up just 180 total yards and 13 first downs themselves.

They didn’t get sacked or turn it over – they just went 2-9 on third down, held the ball for only 20:37, and got pummled at home.

Lions Football Preview

The Lions went into Arrowhead and beat the short-handed Chiefs on Thursday, so now they host a team off a terrible loss and have extra rest.

The question for the Lions is, “How impressed should we be after their win at Kansas City?”. On one hand, you have to give credit where it’s due; it’s never a small feat to beat a much better team at their stadium, even if they were short-handed.

On the other hand, the Lions had a fortuitous pick-six, the Chiefs had a lot of dropped passes, Jared Goff did not play that well, and the Lions did not record a sack.

Long story short, the Lions deserve credit, but that win does not prove that the Lions are as good as advertised.

Lions vs Seahawks Prediction: The PICK

Looking at this matchup, this game has the potential to pan out very similarly to last season’s 48-45 shootout.

Both teams made slight, incremental improvements to their defenses, but make no mistake: These two teams are built to dominate offensively. Even though both had lackluster offensive performances in Week One, these are two teams driven by their offenses.

Both of these teams used one of their two first-round picks on offensive players. Both teams faced great defensive coordinators in Week 1, contributing to their lack of offense.

Now, there’s nothing to stop these two teams from going nuclear, and there should be points galore in this matchup. Detroit is 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games and 11-2 ATS in their last 13 games at home.

Seattle is 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games despite being 6-4 ATS in their L10 meetings with Detroit. In those ten meetings, the Seahawks 8-2 straight up. So, even with Seattle’s injury issues now, the Lions could be a play too.

Prediction: Over 47 Total Points
