Monday Night Football Prop Prediction 1: Zach Wilson

Most people thought the Jets season was over when Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles in Week 1, but here we are in Week 9 and their 4-3 while sitting second in the AFC East.

Zach Wilson’s passing number is listed at 214.5 ahead of tonight’s matchup against a Chargers team that ranks dead last in pass defense giving up 297 yards per game.

Last week they gave up 232 yards at home to Bears backup QB Tyson Bagent and we certainly think Wilson has the talent to get over the 214.5 passing yard marker.

Wilson threw for 240 yards in a 13-10 win over the Giants last week but has only averaged 191 passing yards per game on the season.

This will be the most vulnerable pass defense Wilson has faced all season though as he looks to keep the Jets in playoff position.

Monday Night Football Prop Prediction 2: Austin Ekeler, Chargers Over ~48.5 Rushing Yards (-110)

The Jets rank second to last in rushing yards allowed on the season with 145 as Austin Ekeler looks to surpass the 48.5 rushing yard marker set for him ahead of Monday Night Football.

He has only surpassed this number in one of four games he’s played on the season while averaging 3.7 yards per carry.

Should he hit his yards per carry number against the Jets, he’d only need 14 carries to get over this number as he’s averaged 15 carries per game during the four he’s been healthy for this season.

The Jets are fresh off allowing 203 total rushing yards to the Giants and while we don’t anticipate the Jets giving up that many yards, it’s a safe play to take Ekeler over his 48.5 rushing yard marker against the Jets for Monday Night Football as the Chargers look to get to .500 once again this season.
