Without the services of David Montgomery tonight, the Lions may have to get creative near the end zone if they hope to finish certain drives with touchdowns. This will force Jared Goff to throw more near the end zone going over 1.5 passing touchdowns tonight.

It’s slightly juiced but the Lions will have far more confidence throwing near the goal line than rushing it with Jahmyr Gibbs although the versatile back should see a number of red zone touches.

We’re thinking that may be through the air rather than on the ground though as the Lions RB had nine catches for 58 yards in the team’s 38-6 loss to the Ravens last week.

Goff has thrown for two or more touchdowns in three of seven games so far and coming off a week he had zero, we’re looking at a bounce back performance from the Lions QB tonight.

He’s thrown two or more touchdowns in two of three home games on the season so take Goff to get up and over 1.5 touchdowns during Monday Night Football against the Raiders.

Monday Night Football Prop Prediction 1: Jared Goff, Lions OVER 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-160)

Monday Night Football Prop Prediction 2: Josh Jacobs, Raiders UNDER 59.5 Rushing Yards (-110)

The Lions roll out the second best rushing defense in the NFL heading into tonight’s game allowing only 76 rushing yards per game.

Josh Jacobs rushing yards number is listed at 59.5 in which he’s gone past in three of seven games but it took between 17-25 carries to get to that number as his season high for rushing yards in a game is 77.

He only averages 2.9 yards per carry on the season and we don’t see that improving tonight at all. The Raiders should be playing from behind in this game, especially in the second half which could reduce the amount of carries the Raiders starting running back receives.

After allowing 146 yards rushing in total to the Ravens last week, expect the Lions rushing defense to clamp back down holding Jacobs under 59.5 rushing yards for Monday Night Football with Las Vegas heading in as over touchdown underdogs.
