Anytime Touchdown Scorer Prop Prediction 1: Tyreek Hill, Dolphins Anytime TD (-160)

This may be my favorite anytime touchdown prop in quite some time. Miami Dolphins wide receiver leads the league in receiving yards (1,324) and touchdowns (10) while ranking 2nd in receptions (88) and 3rd in targets with 120.

Hill is currently chasing history as he needs to average 113 yards per game down the stretch to record the NFLs first ever 2,000-yard season.

More importantly, he’s recorded a touchdown in his last two games and 9 of 11 games on the season. The only two teams to keep hill out of the end zone are the strong pass defense of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills prior to being riddled with injuries.

That won’t be the case this Sunday against a Washington Commanders pass defense that allows the 3rd most receiving yards with 264.6 yards per game.

The Commanders have been extremely vulnerable to wide receivers in particular as they allow the MOST touchdowns (18) and yards (2,355).

They just got torched by the Dallas Cowboys in game where wide receivers CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks and KaVontae Turpin all caught touchdowns.

Hill was able to overcome the elite pass defense of Sauce Gardner and the New York Jets last week and record 9 receptions on 12 targets for 102 yards and a touchdown. This is essentially a dream matchup in a game where Hill has multiple motivational factors. I’m playing this with a -145 line or better.

Anytime TD Scorer Prediction 2: Sam LaPorta, Lions Anytime TD (+170)

Detroit Lions tight end Sam LaPorta has recorded 55 receptions for 539 yards and five touchdowns through the first 11 games of his rookie campaign.

The only tight end with more touchdowns is Mark Andrews with six as LaPorta’s five tie him with the likes of Travis Kelce, George Kittle, TJ Hockenson and Cole Kmet. LaPorta has hit paydirt in two of his last four games including his Thanksgiving Day game against the Green Bay Packers.

The New Orleans Saints pass defense may be the perfect opponent as their shutdown corners limit opposing teams to only 196.3 yards per game.

However, the Saints are tied for the MOST touchdowns allowed to opposing tight ends with six. New Orleans kept a lid on the Falcons tight ends last week.

However, TJ Hockenson scored the week prior, Cole Kmet scored twice the week before that, and Drew Ogletree scored the week before that.

The total for this game is set at 47 and both teams will thrive on the fast track of the Superdome. Let’s make a LaPorta anytime touchdown a play at +150 odds or better as this is a projected line.
