2024-25 NFL Most Receiving Yards Predictions

The oddsmakers are backing Tyreek Hill to repeat as receiving yards champion and it’s easy to understand why but no player has led the NFL in receiving yards in back-to-back seasons since 2012 (Calvin Johnson).

Despite the injury to quarterback Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase converted a career high 145 targets into 1,216 yards and seven touchdowns last season.

The Cincinnati Bengals made some offseason changes that could make the ceiling even higher for Chase in 2024 as Tyler Boyd and Joe Mixon are no longer in the picture.

They were the Bengals 2nd and 4th most targeted players respectively, accounting for 162 targets in the 2023 campaign.

On top of that, Cincinnati didn’t acquire any big-time receivers outside of drafting Jermaine Burton in the 3rd round.

Chase put up huge numbers in his rookie season with 1,455 yards & 13 touchdowns and that was basically the only season where he and Burrow remained healthy throughout the year.

Chase should get the majority of the newly available targets and he and Burrow stay healthy, the sky is the limit.

2024-25 NFL Most Receiving Yards Longshot Prediction

In five of the past seven seasons, the eventual receiving yardage leader finished 6th or better in the prior season. If that trend holds true, Puka Nacua is one of six receivers that will lead the league this season.

Nacua was an absolute monster in his 2023 rookie season as he shattered Bill Groman’s 1960 rookie receiving yards record with 1,486 yards.

The 5th round pick out of BYU also broke the rookie reception record with 105. Even when Cooper Kupp returned to action, quarterback Matthew Stafford looked Nacua’s way often leaving a sophomore growth on the table.

If Kupp were to miss time for his 3rd straight season, Nacua could easily lead the NFL in targets making a 20-1 price very attractive.
