2024-25 NFL Most Rushing Yards Predictions

Despite ranking 2nd in rushing attempts (272) behind Derrick Henry (280), Christian McCaffrey outgained him by roughly 300 yards and easily won the 2023-24 rushing title with 1,459 yards.

We backed McCaffrey for Offensive Player of the Year at +750 odds but considering the potential for him wearing down or being injured this +275-price tag doesn’t hold much value.

Saquon Barkley thrived in New York despite being held back by a horrible offensive line and poor quarterback play during his time with the Giants.

The Philadelphia Eagles did lose stud center Jason Kelce to retirement, but this is still an elite group and hands down the best offensive line Barkley has ever played behind.

Barkley ran for the 16th most yards last season and he ran for 1.312 yards in 2022 which was 4th best in the NFL.

Much lesser talents have thrived in Philly as D’Andre Swift was 5th in rushing in 2023 a year after Miles Sanders also ran for the 5th most yards (both career highs).

Assuming Barkley can stay healthy, he will pile up rushing yards with ease in this offense and +650 offers some great value.

2024-25 NFL Most Rushing Yards Longshot Prediction

Considering the potential for injury at the position of running back, we can look at some true longshots that actually have the potential to lead the NFL in rushing yards.

Buffalo Bills head coach Joe Brady installed a run-heavy offense as the 2023 campaign went on and James Cook was the beneficiary, ranking 4th in rushing yards with 1,122.

The Bills will need to utilize the running game even more this season as they lost key wide receivers in Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis.

Cook will surely get the lion’s share of the carries as 4th round pick Ray Davis is his only true competition.

Bijan Robinson (+1200) and Jahmyr Gibbs (+2000) also had my attention but at 40-1 Cook offers tremendous value considering his situation and 4th place finish last season.
