On the season, the Patriots are 1-2 SU and ATS, and the Cowboys are 2-1 SU and ATS. New England is 6-2 SU but 4-4 ATS in their L8 meetings with Dallas.

Those games went 6-2 to the under. New England is 1-6 ATS and 2-5 SU in their L7 games. Dallas is 14-6 SU in their L20 games. Eight of Dallas’ L11 games against AFC East opponents have gone under the total.

In their game against the Jets, the Patriots only scored one touchdown on a 58-yard play, yet were never threatened whatsoever and won easily by five points.

Zach Wilson went 18-36 for 157 yards. He was sacked three times and amazingly did not turn it over, but he was no match for the Patriots defense.

This unit allowed 171 yards, held the Jets to 2-14 on third down, and absolutely dominated this game. Mac Jones made key throws when he needed to, but he was far from perfect, albeit against one of the best defenses in the NFL.

On the other hand, the Cowboys suffered as bad of a loss as you could imagine. The Cardinals are not talented, but they are scrappy as hell, and the Cowboys learned the hard way.

Arizona got out to a 15-3 lead and never looked back. Dallas allowed 400 yards of offense, they did not force a single turnover, they allowed Arizona to go 5-10 on third down, and they were gashed on the ground for 222 yards.

Now, they host the Patriots as a seven-point favorite, and this could be a get-right spot for Dallas. They got their early season embarrassment out of the way, but this is still a top-seven team in the NFL.

Patriots vs Cowboys Prediction: The PICK

The Patriots are just 1-2, but beating Zack Wilson is light work for New England. Now, they have to face a Dallas team at home that can score in bunches, generate pressure, and have weapons all over the field.

Our number did not downgrade or upgrade either team after their respective Week 3 games, and seven seems like a fair spread for this matchup.

However, given the coaching mismatch and how overrated Dallas’ defense is, New England +7 is worth a look.
