Patriots vs Dolphins Prediction: Patriots Football Preview

Just when everyone was ready to write off Bill Belichick and the Patriots, Belichick signed an extension with the Patriots, and his team upset the Bills as 7.5-point underdogs at home.

The Patriots had a 13-3 lead heading into halftime, but Buffalo was able to come back and take a 25-22 lead with 1:58 left in the game.

New England got the ball back, marched down the field, and scored a touchdown with 12 seconds left to secure the win.

Mac Jones played his best game of the season; Jones went 25 for 30 with 272 yards, two touchdown passes, no turnovers, and just one sack. The Patriots took advantage of a banged-up Buffalo defense, and they contained Josh Allen and the Bills’ weapons.

Dolphins Football Preview

The Dolphins have played a pretty easy schedule to date, and after seven weeks, it is fair to say Miami beats up on bad teams and loses to good teams.

The Dolphins tied the game with 4:02 left in the third quarter before not scoring another point and allowing the Eagles to score 14 unanswered.

Miami was outgained by over 100 yards, Philly had the ball for 13 more minutes, and Miami had ten penalties to Philly’s 0 in this major loss for the Dolphins.

Patriots vs Dolphins Prediction: The PICK

On Sunday, these AFC East rivals square off for the 2nd time this season. In their first meeting in Foxboro, New England had a chance to win the game late, but Mac Jones had a bad turnover that led to Miami’s victory.

Miami is 7-3 SU and 8-2 ATS in their L10 meetings with New England. Those games went 6-4 to the under. Miami is a different animal at home.

New England is 1-5 ATS in their L6 games in Miami, and Miami is 15-2 Su in their L17 games at home. Still, 10.5 points is a lot of points, though Miami is accustomed to beating teams by margin when they are at home.

While we do not think the Patriots deserve a major upgrade for beating a hobbled Bills team, it is clear that Miami deserves to be downgraded; they clearly have issues on their offensive line and in their secondary that will stop them from being a top-tier team.

We don’t love this game, but New England getting 10 points seems like too many.
