Was Justin Fields’s 335 passing yard performance just a fluke? Well we don’t think he’ll get that many tonight but he certainly has the capability to get up and over his passing yard number tonight of 189.5.

He’s gone passed this number in three of four games this season as the Commanders allow 230 passing yards per game which is 13th most in the NFL.

This number would probably be higher if it wasn’t for their blowout loss to the Bills two weeks ago as in more closer matchups they allowed 319 to Jalen Hurts last week and 308 to Russell Wilson three weeks ago in the Commanders 35-33 comeback win.

We anticipate this game being tight all game with the Commanders also leading the NFL in penalties on defense which should help extend a few Bears drives.

With all that said, Fields and the Bears let one slip away against the Broncos last week so expect them to be locked in on Thursday with the Bears QB going up and over 189.5 passing yards.

Thursday Night Football Prop Prediction 2: Terry McLaurin Over ~60.5 Receiving Yards (-113 FanDuel)

In each of the Commanders games this season WR Terry McLaurin’s targets have steadily increased (4,6,6,10) with eight catches for 86 yards in last week’s overtime loss to the Eagles.

It seems QB Sam Howell is building more of a rapport with the team’s #1 receiver as the season has progressed.

His number is listed at 60.5 tonight as the Bears have allowed the 4th most passing yards of all NFL teams in 2023 as McLaurin went over this number in 10 of 17 games in 2022.

Sure McLaurin has some competition in Jahan Dotson and Curtis Samuel but when it comes to who Howell trusts the most to make necessary, clutch plays, McLaurin is his guy leading the team in targets on the season.

We anticipate this game being close the whole way which should keep game script in favor of McLaurin to go over his 60.5 receiving yard number in Thursday Night Football against the Bears tonight.
