Thursday Night Football Prop Prediction 1: Joe Mixon, Bengals OVER 13.5 Rushing Attempts (-125 FanDuel)

The Bengals failed to get the running game going in their 30-27 loss to the Texans last week but should do their best to get Joe Mixon going who only carried the ball 11 times for 46 yards.

His rushing attempt number is listed at 13.5 ahead of tonight’s Thursday Night Football matchup against the Ravens.

Baltimore sports the 4th best pass defense from a yards per game perspective but their rushing defense is a bit more forgiving allowing 100 yards per game on the ground.

We anticipate this game being close the whole way and when that’s the case Baltimore gives up carries to lead backs.

Three weeks ago in a 7-point win over Arizona, lead back Emari Demercado had 20 carries and last week in a 2-point loss to Cleveland they allowed Jerome Ford to tote the football 17 times.

Take Mixon to get up and over 13.5 carries as there isn’t much competition for carries behind him on the depth chart as well.

Thursday Night Football Prop Prediction 2: Keaton Mitchell, Ravens OVER ~37.5 Rushing Yards (-115 FanDuel)

On the other sideline RB Keaton Mitchell has done a great job carving out a role for himself over the past two weeks.

He’s carried the ball 12 times for 172 yards combined as they should get him going once again tonight against a Bengals defense giving up 136 rushing yards per game which is 3rd worst in the NFL.

Sure, Gus Edwards will start and get his fare share of carries but Mitchell has averaged 14 yards per carry on the season and while we don’t expect him to net that many yards per rush tonight, he should only need 5-10 carries to get up and over his 37.5 rushing yards against Cincinnati during Thursday Night Football.

Mitchell is eager to keep his momentum rolling and potentially take over the starting RB job with Edwards only combining to carry the ball 16 times over the past two weeks.
