Thursday Night Football Prop Prediction 1: Jordan Addison Over 42.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

Darius Slay should be shadowing Justin Jefferson for a majority of Thursday’s Vikings vs Eagles game which should leave tons of opportunity for rookie Jordan Addison to go up and over 42.5 receiving yards.

He had 61 yards on six targets and four receptions including a touchdown in their loss against the Buccaneers last week as it seems Kirk Cousins has had no problems trusting him out of the gates.

The Buccaneers and Vikings were neck-and-neck pretty much all game last week but Cousins still threw it 44 times compared to rushing it just 17 times.

We could see a similar script tonight with the Eagles allowing 316 yards passing to Patriots QB Mac Jones while only allowing 76 yards rushing on 22 total carries by New England running backs.

We see the Vikings having trouble rushing the ball and with Eagles starting safety Reed Blankenship already ruled out for this game, it should open the door for Addison to go up and over 42.5 receiving yards in tonight’s game.

Thursday Night Football Prop Prediction 2: Jalen Hurts Over 248.5 Passing Yards (-115)

The Vikings were second to last in passing yards allowed last season at 265 yards per game but only allowed Tampa Bay QB Baker Mayfield to throw for 173 yards last week.

They face a much more talented QB this week in Jalen Hurts whose passing yards are listed at 248.5 yards heading into tonight matchup against the Vikings. Last year in Week 2 when these two teams met Hurts threw for 333 yards in a 24-7 rout.

Hurts only threw for 170 yards in last week’s win on the road against New England so he should be poised to give the Philadelphia fans a show in their 2023 home opener under the national spotlight.

The running back situation is a head-scratcher in Philadelphia too with Kenneth Gainwell getting the start last week even though many were speculating new Eagles RB D’Andre Swift to see a bulk of carries which didn’t happen.

With more answers than questions when it comes to the passing game compared to the rushing game, mixed with the Vikings recent historic struggles defending the pass, Hurts should have no problem getting up and over 248.5 passing yards tonight.
