NFL Week 17 First Touchdown Props Prediction: Bucky Irving Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+500)

Bucky Irving has just taken over the role of lead back during the last few months, but he still has seven touchdowns on the season.

Irving took the lion’s share of the Tampa Bay workload in Week 16, leading Rachaad White 16 carries to 3. White did record seven receptions for 50 yards, but he was held out of the end zone for the first time in three weeks.

The Bucs are favored by 8 points, and they need this win to land a potential playoff spot. Look for them to ride Irving early and often, leading to his first career first touchdown.

NFL Week 17 First Touchdown Props Prediction: Jahmyr Gibbs Detroit Lions (+340)

Jahmyr Gibbs has recorded an anytime touchdown in 11 of 15 games this season (15 total) including one in each of his last three games.

Three of those were first touchdowns and now he won’t have to share carries with one the NFL leaders in first touchdowns (David Montgomery tied w 6).

The Lions will have the advantage in scoring first with team first touchdowns in 10/15 (66.6%) games compared to the 49ers who have only scored first in 7/15 (46.7%) games.

The San Francisco defense is banged up and while they rank middle of the pack in yards allowed, they have allowed the 2nd most rushing touchdowns on the season.

Detroit is favored by 3.5 points, and they need this win to help secure their playoff positioning. Gibbs scored first last week against the Chicago Bears in the first full game without Monty in the mix and this sets up as another perfect first TD spot.
