Golden Knights vs Bruins Analysis

The Boston Bruins enter Thursday’s matchup against the Vegas Golden Knights on a current 5-1 winning run over their last six games and will look to take that red-hot form into yet another victory here in Las Vegas later tonight.

The Golden Knights meanwhile haven’t been anywhere near as consistent lately, winning just three of their last eight games since coming out of the All-Star Break back at the start of February and will look for a reversal in fortune here at home on Thursday night.

This will be the teams’ second meeting of the season with Vegas winning 4-1 on the road in Boston back on December 14th.

Vegas’ Packed Schedule

It’s do-or-die time for the Golden Knights approaching the back stretch of the season as they look to fight off concerted efforts from Edmonton, Dallas and Anaheim, all teams who are now over the 60-point mark on the season.

What doesn’t help in that playoff battle for Vegas either is their jam-packed schedule over the next month, with 16 games being funneled into just 30 days for Vegas over March/April, so squad rotation and a positive start will be key for Vegas here if they’re to stay in the hunt in the Western playoff picture.

Boston’s Road Revival

After dropping their opening two games at home coming out of the All-Star Break, Boston found something of a renaissance on the road, winning every game not in New York up to Tuesday’s last minute loss against the Anaheim Ducks.

The Bruins are now 16-8-3 on the road this season and are a red-hot 52-24 against Western Conference opponents also heading into Thursday’s matchup, so should be full of confidence about an immediate bounceback here against the Golden Knights.

We’re looking towards taking the Golden Knights here on Thursday night at home against the Boston Bruins.

While Vegas have been in some patchy form over the last month, they’ll know it’s circle the wagons time here as they kick-off an absolutely crammed schedule over the next 30 days, and most certainly don’t want that run to start off with a disappointing loss here on Thursday against the Bruins.

On top of this, Vegas has been unlucky this season, ranking 12th on overall scoring at 3.17 goals per game this season, yet rank third in the league overall this year on expected goals behind only Florida and Toronto, and average the league’s highest number of high danger scoring chances created as well.

That wheel will start to turn for Vegas at some point, so take the Vegas Golden Knights to get the home win here on Thursday against the Boston Bruins.
