Minnesota Wild vs Florida Panthers Analysis
It will be a showdown between two powerhouses in their respective conference’s on Friday night when the East’s Florida Panthers travel to Minnesota to face the West’s Wild. At 33-10-5 the Panthers sit at first place in the Eastern Conference after a 3-2 comeback victory in Carolina over the Hurricanes.

Panthers Pounce On Hurricanes
With 49 seconds left in regulation the Florida Panthers tied the Carolina Hurricanes 2-2 on a Sam Reinhart goal. It only took 16 seconds of overtime for Aaron Ekblad to score a game winning goal and secure a thrilling 3-2 victory. Goalie Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 16 of 18 shots in the comeback win.
The Panthers are now 2-1 on their current road trip and are great form with a 15-3-1 record in their last 19 games. Bobrovsky should be in net again for the Panthers on Friday night. After an off year, the former Vezina winning goalie has turned things around, compiling a 24-4-3 record with a 2.54 goals against average and a .919 save percentage.
The Panthers are netting the highest amount of goals per game this season with 4.06 per game, while allowing the 16th lowest quantity in their defensive zone at 2.88.
Minnesota Not Wild About Loss to Jets
The Minnesota Wild suffered a minor setback in a 6-3 beat down at the hands of the Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday night. After leading 3-2, the Wild conceded four consecutive goals, two in each of the last two periods.
Goalie Cam Talbot allowed five goals on only 25 shots in the loss. Kirill Kaprizov collected a pair of assists and continues to lead the team in both goals (22) and points (59), ranking 7th in the league in scoring.
Still, Minnesota has only lost two of their last 14 games in regulation, going 14-2-1 over that stretch. The Wild are 3rd in goals scored this season (3.78) and 15th in goals conceded with 2.91 per game.
