NHL Player Props Predictions 1: Sam Reinhart, Panthers Over 0.5 Goals (+150) DK
Florida Panthers center Sam Reinhart has scored 35 goals on the season while scoring a goal in 27 of 47 games for a 57% success rate.
He’s been on fire recently with a goal in 13 of his last 15 games including his last two games. Reinhart’s regular linemate Aleksander Barkov returned from injury in the Panthers most recent game but they kept Reinhart paired with Anton Lundell and he scored again.
A big part of Reinhart’s recent success is the Panthers ability to draw penalties (2nd most in last 20 days) as he’s scored 8 powerplay goals in his last 11 games.
The Pittsburgh Penguins have allowed an average of three goals per game in their last five games and Reinhart has scored against them in 3 of his last 5 head-to-head games.
I was looking at Reinhart to score a point, but the juice is through the roof at -190 so we’ll make a nice plus money play on him to score a goal tonight in Pittsburgh.
NHL Player Props Predictions 2: Cole Makar, Avalanche Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-135) DK
Colorado Avalanche defenseman Cole Makar is averaging 3.1 shots on goal on 7.2 shot attempts per game while clearing this line in 26 of 43 games for a 60% success rate.
Makar has been lights out in home games with 3+ shots on goal in 15 of 22 games for a 68% success rate.
Earlier in the season, Makar landed five shots on goal in seven attempts against the Los Angeles Kings. Makar has now cleared this mark in four of his last 6 games against the Kings while averaging 3.3 shots on goal on 5.5 shot attempts.
The Kings are usually a great target as they rank 4th in shots on goal allowed and 5th in shot attempts allowed.
However, they do allow the 8th most shots to opposing defenseman which is part of the reason for Makar’s success against them.
The Aves are in great scoring form with 6+ goals in three of their last four games and 5+ goals in four of their last six games. Look for Makar to be firing away at home tonight against an opponent he’s had success against in the past.
