NHL Player Props Predictions 1: Sam Reinhart, Panthers OVER 0.5 Goals (+125) DK
Florida Panthers center Sam Reinhart ranks second in the NHL with 39 goals behind only Auston Matthews of the Toronto Maple Leafs with 42.
Over his last 20 games, Reinhart has incredibly netted a goal in 17. On the season, Reinhart has scored in 31 of 52 games for a 60% success rate.
He’s continued the trend out of the break with goals in two of three games. The Pittsburgh Penguins are a tough matchup based on the fact that they rank 5th with only 2.76 goals allowed per game.
However, Reinhart has scored a goal in 4 of his last 6 games against Pittsburgh including his last game a few weeks ago on January 22nd. Reinhart has scored a goal in 15 of 26 road games and I’m banking on him continuing that trend tonight.
NHL Player Props Predictions 2: Kyle Connor, Jets OVER 3.5 Shots on Goal (-125) DK
Winnipeg Jets left winger Kyle Connor is averaging 3.9 shots on goal per game while recording 4+ shots in 18 of 34 games for a 53% success rate.
It’s been feast of famine for Connor recently as he’s cleared this mark in 4 of his last 8 games with 6 shots on goal in each of those games.
However, he has feasted on the San Jose Sharks as he’s recorded 4+ shots on goal in each of his last five games.
It makes sense, considering the Sharks allow the MOST shots on goal (35.43/game) and MOST shot attempts per game (71.82/game).
Connor is also the left winger on the #1 powerplay unit and the Sharks rank 2nd to last in penalty kill at only 73%. The total is only 5.5 but the Jets are heavily favored as -455 money line favorites. They should fire off plenty of shots and I’ll back Connor to record 4+ tonight.
