Seattle Kraken vs Colorado Avalanche Betting Analysis
The Colorado Avalanche will go on the road for Game 6 against the Seattle Kraken on Friday night. The Kraken lead the series 3-2 after beating the Avs 3-2 in Colorado on Wednesday night.
The Avalanche finished the the 2022-23 campaign with a 51-24-7 record while the Kraken finished 46-28-8. The puck drops at 10:00 PM EST/7:00 PST from Climate Pledge Arena.
Kraken Steal Game 5
The Seattle Kraken entered Game 5 as +165 underdogs but managed to pull off a 3-2 victory on the road. Morgan Geekie, Yanni Gourde and Tye Kartye each scored a goal while Phillip Grubauer stopped 26 of the 28 shots he faced.
The Kraken have been very efficient on offense, ranking 4th in goals per game and 20th in shots per game. Jared McCann led the team with 40 goals and 70 points while rookie star Matty Beniers had 57 points.
Their defense was also very strong as they ranked 15th in goals against and 2nd in shots against per game. Phillip Grubauer posted a 17-14-4 record with a 2.85 GAA and .895 save percentage.
Grubauer has held the Avs to three goals or less in four of the five games thus far in the series. Andre Burakovsky hasn’t played yet in this series due to a lower body injury.
Avalanche Drop Game 5
The Colorado Avalanche have their backs against the wall after losing Game 5 despite being heavily favored. Nathan MacKinnon scored a goal and had an assist while Alexandar Georgiev stopped 26 of the 29 shots he faced.
Colorado has been a top ten offense, ranking 11th in goals per game and 8th in shots per game. MacKinnon led the team with 111 points which was the 5th most in the NHL.
Mikko Rantanen led the team with 55 goals (3rd in the NHL) and had 105 points. The Colorado defense ranked slightly above average at 9th in goals against and 14th in shots against per game.
Alexandar Georgiev finished the season with an impressive 40-16-6 record with a 2.53 GAA and .919 save percentage. He allowed three goals in games 1, 4 & 5, two goals in Game 2 and four goals in Game 3.
Seattle Kraken vs Colorado Avalanche Expert Prediction
The Toronto Maple Leafs enter this contest as -155 favorites on the money line and +175 on the -1.5 puck line with a total set at 6.5.
This series has been loaded with high scoring games and we should expect that to continue on Thursday night. Each of the four games in this series has cleared the total while also going over in 8 of their last 10 meetings overall.
The Leafs have scored 3+ goals in each game while the Lightning have scored 3+ in three of the four games in this series.
Both sides have struggled to keep the puck out of the net and this will be another high scoring contest where the over cashes.
